On Wednesday 26th March Ubley School took part in Green Day. Pupils wore green clothes of all different shades and it looked lovely!
During this event two women named Sarah George form B&NES Waste Management and Jackie Granger from Eco-schools came in and talked to us about global warming, how we could help the environment, recycling and much more. The children had an activity where they had to sort out the schools bins! They had to tell us if the rubbish had to be recycled or put into the bin, they sorted the recycled rubbish into one plastic carrier bag and then had to weigh it. Pupils who had packed lunch were asked to have a small amount of throw away items and try to have a packed lunch with Zero waste.
Everyone had a great day !
