COMPTON MARTIN HISTORY SOCIETY

Compton Martin History Society Programme 2008/9

The Society meets every second Thursday in the month in the Old School Room, Compton Martin (adjacent to St Michael’s church). Membership is £5 per annum and £2 admission to each meeting. Visitors and non-members are always welcome at an admission cost of £3.00 per meeting.

The aim of the Society is simply to research, reproduce and share the history of the village with others. The 2008/9 Committee Members are:- Jacqui Salter (Chair) Barbara Wakeling (Vice Chair) Richard Blackmore (Secretary) Bob Cotton (Treasurer) Richard East and David Hart. We have been very sad to loose Joyce Marks as Vice Chair this year and thank her for all her good works and contributions. Barbara Wakeling has very kindly felt able to bow under considerable pressure and take Joyce’s place!
