Compton Martin History Society

The Time, Place & dates: This season, meetings will again be held in the Old Schoolroom (adjacent to St Michael's Church Compton Martin) on the second Thursday of the month starting at 7.45pm. The programme runs from October to April every year and closes for the summer with an outdoor visit of a historic nature in the month of May

 Membership: Individual Membership is £5 membership per annum

  • Costs: Attending a talk is £3 per person (Members £2)
  • Refreshments: are served at all talks
  • Visitors: are always most welcome
  • Lifts: Please let us know if we can help with a lift, to and from meetings: particularly during the winter months.

 

Sharing History: Our aim is to ensure that our local history and memories can be shared, recorded and preserved for the enjoyment of everyone in this and future generations.

Invitation to new Committee Members: There is still a huge amount of work to be covered and if you do have an interest in history and/or researching history, please contact us as we are always grateful for any help whatsoever. Our committee meets “when it can” and are hugely informal affairs! We rendez-vous in the lounge at the Ring O’Bells and like everyone nowadays, we are all busy people!
